Chad Parsons in Rehearsal for Roald Dahl's The Witches.
Chad Parsons (He/They) is a theatre artist from Philadelphia, PA where he attended West Chester University and received a BA in Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre. After graduation, Chad pursued his career as an actor and has performed at/with Norwegian Cruise Lines, Walnut Street Theatre, Fulton Opera House, Media Theatre and OCTC are some highlights. They are also a two time Barrymore Award Nominee for their work in Fiddler and Joseph. After a few years of the stage Chad embraced his love for directing and the importance of the arts in education.
Chad has directed over 25 productions including the US Premiere of Aunty Ben by Sian Frances and the PA Regional Premiere of Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical by Douglas Lyons.
In May 2020 Chad graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro where he received his MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) he then began a new adventure by starting a production company. ReNew Productions promises to practice P.R.I.D.E. (Perspective, Respect, Identity, Diversity, Equity) in all future collaborations, productions and enrichment projects that we create.
Chad was recently elected onto the board of the Greater Philadelphia Area Puppetry Guild (GPAPG) and also serves as the incoming vice chair with the Pride Youth Theatre Alliance (PTYA) where he works with other theatre companies / artists lifting queer youth voices and productions.
