Director’s Statement At the heart of every production I direct is a belief that we are, above all, storytellers. We crave story — to make sense of our world, to connect, to reflect, and to imagine what’s possible. Theatre gives us that opportunity, not just as artists, but as collaborators in a living, breathing conversation with our audience. My work is deeply rooted in ensemble-based collaboration. I value a rehearsal room where every voice is heard, every idea explored, and every participant empowered. Whether directing a premiere for young audiences, reimagining a classic, or developing an immersive experience, I strive to foster an environment of trust, curiosity, and play — where risk-taking is celebrated and growth is ongoing.
Each project offers a chance to approach the familiar from a unique perspective — to examine the story beneath the surface and ask: why now?why here?why should we care? I believe in directing with both intention and openness, allowing the process to be shaped by the people in the room. That’s where the magic happens. As an artist and educator, I know the work is never finished. We can always learn more, listen deeper, and grow stronger — together. That’s the gift of theatre. And that’s the kind of work I’m committed to making.
